Property appraisers’ vehicles have signs reading, “Scurry County Appraisal District” in addition to personal identification.
Every effort will be made to complete any on-site measuring as quickly as possible.

Visit Texas.gov/Property Taxes to find a link to your property tax database on which you can easily access information regarding your property taxes, including information regarding the amount of taxes that each entity that taxes your property will impose if the entity adopts its proposed tax rate. Your local property tax database will be updated regularly during August and September as local elected officials propose and adopt the property tax rates that will determine how much you pay in property taxes.

Also, within this site you will find general information about the District and the ad valorem property tax system in Texas, as well as information regarding specific properties within the district. Scurry County Appraisal District is responsible for appraising all real and business personal property within Scurry County. The district appraises property according to the Texas Property Tax Code and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices (USPAP).
Taxpayers may receive electronic notices required by law from the appraisal district. Written agreements with the appraisal district must be entered first to ensure that electronic means of delivery are acceptable. Interpreters
Non-english speaking persons are encouraged to provide a personal interpreter. If a person cannot provide an interpreter, the District will attempt to arrange for interpreting assistance provided a written request is submitted to the Chief Appraiser at least three (3) business days in advance of the meeting.
Access by Disabled Persons
District Facilities allow access by disabled individuals. Handicapped parking space is available at the front parking lot of the District office. Individuals who need additional assistance for entry or access should notify the District at least three (3) business days in advance of the meeting.
